Dai-ichi Life Cambodia Handed over Patient Monitor, Stretcher, and Surgery Cost to Japan Heart Children’s Medical Center
up 2020.01.06

◆Donation for surgery and medical equipment
Daiichi Life Cambodia has donated a patient monitor and stretcher to support pediatric patients who cannot receive treatment for financial reasons. They help to improve the quality of medical services at the medical center.

◆Patient monitor
The donated patient monitor is currently being used in the operation room during surgery for pediatric patients. This patient monitor can measure many indicators simultaneously. Notably, it can measure body temperature, heart rate, blood pressure, blood oxygen saturation (SpO2), respiratory rate, electrocardiogram, and end-expiratory CO2 (EtCO2). It is an indispensable medical device for complicated operations such as pediatric cancer.

◆Stretcher for children
With the introduction of a pediatric stretcher, patients can safely move from the operating room to the ward. Until now, we used stretchers for adults without fences. However, children who have just awakened from anesthesia during surgery are often agitated and violent and are often dangerous without a fence. The stretcher donated has rails on all sides, which is very helpful in ensuring patient safety.

◆Dai-ichi Life was the first local company that donated for Japan Heart Cambodia.
Dai-ichi Life Cambodia was the first local company that contributed to our activity since Japan Heart began medical activities. In the future, we would like to create a loop of support in which local companies and individuals directly support children in Cambodia and provide sustainable medical care.

Dai-ichi Life Cambodia, thank you very much for your support.
